The Roomieology Series

Roomieology is a series. Book 1 lays the foundation — the framework, the skills, the tools anyone can use to live well with others. Each book that follows goes deeper into a specific kind of shared life. Every book stands on its own; together, they build a complete system.

Book 1 — The Art & Science of Living Together

The foundation of the entire series. The Art & Science of Living Together is a practice manual for anyone sharing space with another person and trying to do it well — whether you’re moving in with a best friend, a partner, a stranger, or someone you found on an app.

Across twenty-three chapters, the book moves from the groundwork laid before you move in, through the full reality of shared life — the agreement, chores, cleaning, sleep, guests, money, intimacy, noise, pets, food, and more — to what to do when things break down, and finally to the idea that living well with others is a skill that travels far beyond any single shared room.

It’s built to be used, not just read. The Roomieology Agreement, the Communication Archetypes, and the COZY framework all work best when you practice them on something real — and the book connects directly to the free digital tools that make that practice easier.

Book 1 is free, and coming August 2026.

Book 2 — The Community Manager Playbook

Written for the professionals who hold shared living together: housing staff, resident advisors, and community managers. The Community Manager Playbook takes the Roomieology framework into the professional context — how to introduce the tools as trust-building rather than surveillance, how to facilitate difficult conversations without taking sides, and how to carry the framework with genuine fluency rather than handing residents a brochure and walking away.

Coming after Book 1.

The Series Ahead

The Roomieology series continues with volumes that take the framework into specific kinds of shared life:

  • Book 3 — Communication Strategies: a deeper dive into the Communication Archetypes and cross-cultural communication
  • Book 4 — Home Is a Verb: space, environment, and the practice of living well
  • Book 5 — Multi-Generational Living: shared living across generations
  • Book 6 — The Group House: co-ops, fraternities, sororities, and intentional communities
  • Book 7 — Love and Logistics: when partners become roommates

Each book stands alone. Together, they build a complete system for living well with others.
